Mark Calabria, chief economist for Vice President Mike Pence, will provide an insider view of President Donald Trump's economic agenda during a luncheon session during NAFCU's Congressional Caucus Sept. 11.

His presentation, closed to the press, will include a Q&A session for credit union attendees.

NAFCU's Congressional Caucus, the association's lobbying event of the year, is Sept. 10-13 in Washington. The event provides an opportunity for credit union attendees to hear directly from lawmakers, members of the administration and regulators on those issues most important to the industry. In all, this year's Caucus slate already boasts more than two dozen speakers from the administration, Congress and regulatory departments and agencies.

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger met with Calabria in March to discuss credit union concerns and the need for industry-wide regulatory relief. He has also received a copy of NAFCU's core principles for housing finance reform.
