NAFCU at Treasury today for financial literacy meeting

NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel Michael Emancipator and Legislative and Regulatory Assistant Matt Schwartz today will be at the Treasury Department for a public meeting of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC), which will include a preview of the FLEC's plan for 2018.

Also during today's meeting, the commission will review 2017 activities and present on economic trends that could influence FLEC's work in the upcoming months. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is expected to make remarks during the meeting.

Today's meeting begins at 9 a.m. Eastern. The event will be live streamed.

The commission, chaired by Mnuchin, is made up of the heads of 19 federal agencies, including the NCUA.
