2017 NAFCU Board elections kick off today

NAFCU's 2017 board election cycle is now open with four director positions available – two at-large positions and one position each for Regions III and IV.

An email to NAFCU members today will include information on how to access the candidate application.

All four incumbents are seeking reelection: At-Large Director Rod Taylor (Barksdale Federal Credit Union, La.); At-Large Director Daniel Weickenand (Orion Federal Credit Union, Tenn.); Region III Director Jeanne Kucey (JetStream Federal Credit Union, Fla.); and Region IV Director Thomas W. DeWitt (State Farm Federal Credit Union, Ill.).

There are two ways to be nominated for the four open NAFCU Board seats: complete and submit a candidate application to the Nominating Committee; or, by petition, obtaining at least five valid nominating ballots from NAFCU members.

Candidate applications are due to the committee March 6. Nominating ballots, which will go out March 29, must be returned by April 12. Official ballots for voting in both the at-large and regional elections will be sent April 19.
