America, Military Saves Weeks kick off Feb. 27

NAFCU is encouraging credit unions to highlight saving strategies and financial management in honor of America Saves Week and Military Saves Week, which will kick off Feb. 27.

Through the programs, financial institutions are asked to promote the value of saving through all their communication channels, including social media. Credit unions can download and personalize the promotional materials offered on the campaign websites.

Organizers note that "just two out of every five U.S. households report good or excellent progress" in meeting their savings goals. Each day features different themes, including family savings and saving during tax season.

Military Saves Week is part of the Department of Defense's Financial Readiness Campaign. Credit unions wanting to sign up for Military Saves Week can do so here.
