NAFCU Director of Education Devon Lyon provided BSA training for board and supervisory committee members, which reviewed the law's requirements for credit unions.

Ashley Beach, associate with Fox Rothschild LLP, said board training on MBL is essential as more credit unions are considering starting or expanding MBL programs. She discussed the regulatory and operational issues and key business lending terms during her session.

Dean Rohne, principal at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, held a session looking at AML best practices and related regulatory risks. He also highlighted three credit union AML case studies.

Elry Armaza, impact director and analyst at Filene Research Institute, held a session on improving the service experience for credit union members. Citing key findings from a Filene Research study, he said credit unions should more clearly set expectations for mortgage lending and improve the transition between web-application mortgages and human processing.
