Member call-in today eyes CU reg relief

NAFCU members can tune in today at 4 p.m. Eastern for an update on credit union regulatory relief efforts during the member-only call-in with President and CEO Dan Berger and senior government affairs staff.

NAFCU's first member call-in of 2017, the "NAFCU Q1 Advocacy Update" will brief members on plans for reform of the Dodd-Frank Act; proposed Durbin amendment repeal; CFPB structure and rulemaking authority; NCUA's plans for a potential share insurance fund premium charge; progress in corporate stabilization and rebate to credit unions; and ongoing litigation.

Members will be able to ask questions during the call; questions can also be submitted in advance during the registration process.

Berger will be joined on the call by Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt, Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler, Director of Regulatory Affairs Alexander Monterrubio, Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Brandy Bruyere, Director of Political Affairs Dan O'Brien and Chief Economist and Director of Research Curt Long.

The call-in is provided free as a benefit of membership in NAFCU, but registration is required (members only).
