NAFCU's Board Conference sold out; Hawaii board program open
NAFCU's Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee Conference, May 1-4 in Charleston, S.C., has recently sold out, but credit unions can still take advantage of the Board Excellence Program during NAFCU's 50th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo June 13-16 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Board Excellence Program will offer opportunities for credit union board members to learn from various industry experts about the latest technologies, governance best practices and risk management methods. They will also be able to get required NCUA Bank Secrecy Act training.
In addition, credit union representatives can attend the optional pre-conference workshop for an opportunity to earn their NAFCU Certified Volunteer Expert designation. NCVE status shows a board member has a comprehensive understanding of their role and how the credit union system works.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for credit union board members to network during roundtable sessions with their peers.
Credit union representatives can save $200 on NAFCU's Annual Conference with the code ANNUALSAVINGS if they register before April 14.
For additional board training, NAFCU's credit union Board of Directors Online Training Subscription also provides an opportunity for an entire credit union board to earn their NCVEs for one price. The online training includes 11 modules that are taught by NAFCU Executive Vice President and COO Anthony Demangone.
