NAFCU releases 2017 Credit Union Compliance GPS

NAFCU's electronic 2017Credit Union Compliance GPS, available to credit unions now, features new sections on prepaids, 2017 mortgage servicing amendments, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and updates on major regulatory changes over the past year.

"With more than 600 pages, the GPS explains complex regulatory language in plain English. It covers everything from the basic anatomy of a federal credit union to specific regulations from the NCUA, the CFPB and more," said Brandy Bruyere, NAFCU's vice president of regulatory compliance. "The GPS is an unbelievable value, particularly since credit unions can purchase one GPS manual and share it with their entire organization at no extra cost."

Highlights of the 2017 edition include:

  • A new appendix on prepaids, 2017 mortgage servicing amendments and NCUA's commercial lending rule;
  • Updates on major regulatory changes over the past year;
  • User-friendly search functions, including bookmarks and hyperlinks; and
  • Study tips following each section, especially helpful for those planning to take the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) exams.
