Consumer Reports touts CUs, CULookup.com
Oct. 7, 2009 – The value of credit unions as a source of affordable credit cards is noted in an article included in the November issue of Consumer Reports magazine, which also plugs CULookup.com.
The article, “Taking Control of Your Credit Cards,” advises consumers to check out credit unions as a source of good credit cards and points to the 18 percent annual percentage rate cap in effect for federal credit unions.
The article also recommends looking to CULookup.com to locate a credit union. Pentagon FCU, Addison Avenue FCU and Digital FCU are highlighted in the story.
Findings in the article were also featured on television stations across the country (including in Chicago, Detroit and Portland, Ore.).
The article can be found on the magazine Web site. Credit unions are showcased in the “low balance cardholder” section and the “where to find good cards” summary.
CULookup.com, sponsored by NAFCU Services, its preferred partners and NAFCU, provides information about credit unions according to location, membership type and services offered.
Consumer Reports is a publication of Consumers Union, the world’s largest independent consumer-product testing organization.
