Agenda for next town hall on corporates set

Jan. 26, 2010 – NCUA yesterday published its agenda for its Feb. 4 town hall meeting in Orlando on the agency’s proposed corporate credit union regulation and other issues.

The meeting is headquartered at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Lake Buena Vista. Opening remarks are at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting runs until noon.

The town hall, like a similar one held Jan. 22 in Dallas, will provide an overview of NCUA’s proposed corporate credit union regulation. It will also address the agency’s recent proposed rule to streamline the community charter process. An open forum will follow the presentations.

NCUA noted that, in addition to the corporate regulation, discussion Jan. 22 also touched on proposed changes to the agency’s field of membership rules, credit union capital, member business lending and regulatory restructuring.
