MasterCard's Tim Murphy to Speak at NAFCU's 48th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Montreal
Washington (May 21, 2015) - MasterCard General Counsel and Chief Franchise Officer Tim Murphy has joined the slate of speakers for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) 48th
Annual Conference and Solutions Expo and Solutions Expo in Montreal. The conference takes place June 23-26 and coincides with Montreal's world-renowned International Jazz Festival.
"Murphy possesses an unparalleled wealth of knowledge on the financial industry," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. "His insights will be extremely valuable to credit unions as they strive to successfully tackle the plethora of electronic payment issues impacting the industry."
In his role at MasterCard, a NAFCU Services Preferred Partner, Murphy oversees legal affairs, public policy, compliance, franchise development, and security and privacy. Prior to assuming this position in 2014, Murphy served as chief product officer, overseeing the management, development and commercialization of payments solutions, where he created a sustainable competitive advantage for MasterCard and its issuers. During the conference, Murphy will present on the current landscape of payments.
Murphy is among the prominent expert speakers presenting at the conference, including keynoters Mike Abrashoff, a former U.S. Navy captain and Jeremy Gutsche, founder and CEO of TrendHunter.com, which is the world's largest network of trend spotting and innovation. NAFCU's government affairs staff and NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz will also make remarks.
NAFCU's conference is open to everyone working in the credit union industry; a passport is required for travel to Canada.
