NAFCU Statement on Appointment of Rick Metsger as NCUA Chair
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington (May 2, 2016) – National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) President and CEO Dan Berger issued the following statement regarding the redesignation of Rick Metsger from vice chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board to chairman, effective May 1.
"NAFCU congratulates Mr. Metsger on his new designation, and we look forward to continuing our work with him and the entire agency to ensure credit unions have the best regulatory environment possible to continue their high level of service to members," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger.
Metsger replaces Chairman Debbie Matz, who stepped down from the agency board post April 30.
The National Association of Federal Credit Unions is the only national trade association focusing exclusively on federal issues affecting the nation's federally insured credit unions.
