FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington (May 24, 2017)– Through inspirational stories of courage and persistence against great odds, keynote speakers Jeff Havens, retired Army Maj. Gen. Vinny Boles and John Maclean will motivate credit union leaders to reach their greatest potential during the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU)50th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, June 13-16 in Honolulu.

"The keynote speakers for NAFCU's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo will show credit union leaders how they can prepare to meet any challenge," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. "All three speakers offer unique perspectives on what it takes to win against great odds, and I am confident that attendees will depart this year's conference inspired to do great things for their credit unions."

Havens, the founder of the Jeff Havens Company, will help credit unions maximize their workforce effectiveness. He will discuss strategies credit unions can use to identify and eliminate problems caused by generational disconnects and tips to inspire a healthier, more robust work ethic in younger credit union employees.

Boles, who wrote the book "4-3-2-1 Leadership: What America's Sons and Daughters Taught Me on the Road from Second Lieutenant to Two-Star General," is also a professor of leadership and logistics. He will provide 10 tools– "battle-tested" by his deployments in Kuwait, Iraq and other locations – that attendees can immediately use to improve their teams on a daily basis.

Maclean, a renowned keynote speaker and extreme wheelchair athlete, will inspire attendees to find inner strength to flourish – not just manage – through challenges that seem insurmountable. Providing the conference's closing keynote message, Maclean will motivate attendees to transform their credit unions.
