Jihan “JiJi” Bahhur, Esq., NCCO, is Regulatory Compliance Counsel at NAFCU and assists credit unions on a variety of regulatory and operational compliance issues. In addition, she speaks on regulatory topics that affect credit unions and authors compliance articles for NAFCU publications, including but not limited to the Compliance Monitor and the NAFCU Compliance Blog.
Prior to coming to NAFCU, Ms. Bahhur served as In-House Counsel/Director of Compliance for Washington Gas Light Federal Credit Union for a little over 2.5 years. While in law school, she interned for a small and medium-sized law firm.
Ms. Bahhur is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Michigan State Bar, and the American Bar Association. She also holds a Master’s degree in criminal justice and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude, both from the University of Detroit Mercy.
