America’s Credit Unions prepares for launch
The merger of CUNA and NAFCU culminates next week with the official launch of America’s Credit Unions. This transformation is to provide the credit union industry a stronger and more responsive voice on the national stage.
NAFCU Board of Directors Chair Gary Grinnell and CUNA Board of Directors Chair Lisa Ginter recently signed documents to certify the merger.
The new association, which will be legally established Jan. 1, is positioned to bring together the best of both organizations to offer exceptional services to credit unions so they can help Americans achieve and afford their best financial lives.
While the offices will be closed Monday with the federal holiday, credit unions can expect a message from America’s Credit Unions President and CEO Jim Nussle Jan. 2 detailing how to access transformation updates, needed resources, and contact information. America’s Credit Unions daily newsletter will begin sending Jan. 3; subscribe to receive news.
America’s Credit Unions will be fully operational by 2025. The association is committed to providing uninterrupted services and being responsive to members’ needs as the transformation progresses throughout 2024.
