NAFCU CEOs and Senior Executives Conference gets underway

Educational sessions for NAFCU'sCEOs and Senior Executives Conferencekick off today with a welcome address from NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. The conference, held in Miami, Fla., continues through Friday.

Attendees arrived Wednesday for networking activities. Following today's introductory remarks, Berger will be joined by Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt to provide the group a Washington and Industry Update.

Today's program will include a keynote address by Drew Dudley, founder and chief catalyst at Day One Leadership. Dudley will address developments in leadership tactics and provide practical insights on how successful leaders create cultures of leadershipwithin their organizations.


NCUA Board Member Rick Metsger will offer a look ahead at upcoming rules and regulations from the NCUA. Metsger will also discuss exam flexibility and field of membership reform.

Other sessions slated today include:

  • how credit unions should engage and strengthen their relationships with consumers through digital payments;
  • five ways a credit union can increase its bottom line for growth;
  • an overview of what CEOs need to know regarding the Financial Accounting Standards Board's current expected credit loss (CECL) accounting standard; and
  • how millennials discuss financial services.
