NAFCU celebrates 50 years today

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger marked the association's official 50th anniversary celebration today and touted the association's history of serving, leading and representing the interests of credit unions at the federal level.

"NAFCU began 50 years ago today as a small association," Berger said. "Over those 50 years, we have become the leading credit union advocate in Washington, D.C. None of that could have been accomplished without our members and the credit union leaders who came before us.

"As I've said before, we are standing on the shoulders of giants and are forever grateful for their efforts," he continued. "As we serve our members, we'll continue to raise the credit union voice on Capitol Hill so we can continue to grow stronger."

The association is celebrating the accomplishments it has shared with its members over the past fifty years throughout 2017, including during NAFCU's 50th Annual Conference & Solutions Expo, which is slated June 13-16 in Honolulu.
