NAFCU's Harris, others at inaugural events

NAFCU Board Chair Richard L. Harris and other NAFCU representatives are participating in a number of inaugural events in Washington being held in advance of President-elect Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony tomorrow.

Harris, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt are representing credit unions with top Trump administration officials at events throughout the week; also attending are NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler, Senior Associate Director of Legislative Affairs Chad Adams, Associate Director of Political Affairs Meghan Brady, Regulatory Affairs Counsel Ann Kossachev and Associate Directors of Legislative Affairs Gaurav Parikh and Allyson Browning. They began with a reception held Wednesday and attended by Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

Also this week, the 115th Congress continues to hold confirmation hearings for Trump's nominees for cabinet positions. NAFCU staff continue to monitor the transition for potential impact on credit unions.
