Caucus early-bird savings deadline is today

Credit unions have until midnight tonight to take advantage of early-bird savings on registration for NAFCU's2017 Congressional Caucus, which takes place Sept. 10-13 in Washington D.C.

NAFCU's Congressional Caucus, the association's credit union lobbying event of the year, brings hundreds of credit union leaders to Washington to talk about the industry's vital issues, visit with lawmakers on Capitol Hill and hear from prominent congressional and financial industry leaders.

This year's Caucus sessions will address the latest developments on tax reform, regulatory relief and other key issuesfor the credit union industry; attendees will discuss those issues during afternoon meetings with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill.

Mark Halperin, senior political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, will keynote this year's Caucus. Halperin, also creator, executive producer and co-host of Showtime's political documentary series The Circus and co-author ofNew York Timesbestseller "Double Down: Game Change 2012," will focus his keynote message on the new administration, the state of the 115th Congress and the future of American politics.

NAFCU continues to add to the Caucus speaker slate. The latest additions are:

  • House Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry, R-N.C.,
  • House Financial Services Subcommittee Chairman Bill Huizenga, R-Mich.,
  • House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Luke Messer, R-Ind.,
  • Sen.Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and
  • Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D.
