NAFCU Regulatory Alerts are member-only resources containing important highlights and summaries for proposed rulemakings that affect credit unions. Each alert PDF also provides a link to send NAFCU your comments that we will include in our letter to the agency or agencies that issued to proposed rule.
Policy letters and regulatory comment letters are sent to members of Congress and federal agencies to make sure your positions are in the forefront of important issues. We also place credit union members in front of Congress to testify on behalf of our industry. In 2017, NAFCU placed nine witnesses in Congressional hearings covering data security, regulatory relief, member business lending and more.
NAFCU's Political Action Committee (NAFCU/PAC) provides contributions to members of Congress and candidates who support legislation and other actions favorable to credit unions. Contributing to the campaign funds of key federal legislators is an essential element to the success of any national association's lobbying efforts.
