6 ways to increase focus and performance


We all want focused, high-performing employees. But before we can expect our teams to complete their tasks with efficiency, accuracy and creativity, we need to first train ourselves to perform at a consistently high level.

Ken Sundheim, CEO of KAS Placement Sales and Marketing Recruiters, discusses on the Personal Branding Blog six ways we can train ourselves to constantly perform at a high level. His list includes:

- Define your goals and prioritize tasks accordingly. What do you want to accomplish today? It’s helpful to write down your objectives and how they will help you meet your overall goals.

- Slow down. “When you work with a deliberate slowness, it allows you to more effectively pay attention to the task at hand,” Sundheim says.

- Conquer negativity. Negative thoughts can impair your productivity.

- Confront procrastination. Sundheim suggests using self-imposed deadlines and breaking a project into smaller ones to combat procrastination.
