Comments Due to NAFCU: NCUA - Federal Credit Union Bylaws
NAFCU would like to highlight the following:
- On March 21, 2018, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) seeking stakeholder feedback on ways to streamline, clarify, and improve the standard Federal Credit Union (FCU) bylaws.
- The NCUA specifically seeks stakeholder comments on how the Board can improve the amendment process, clarify limitation of service and expulsion of member provisions, facilitate the recruitment and development of directors, encourage member attendance at annual and special meetings, and eliminate overlaps with NCUA's regulations.
- For all suggested changes, stakeholders should provide an explanation of whether the Federal Credit Union Act (FCU Act) would permit such a change.
Comments due to NAFCU: May 7, 2018
NAFCU will send comments on behalf of its members to the NCUA by their deadline (May 21, 2018).
