Loran Jackson joined NAFCU as Regulatory Compliance Counsel in April 2019 and was named Senior Regulatory Compliance Counsel in February 2021. In her role, she provides daily compliance assistance to member credit unions on a variety of topics. She also writes articles for NAFCU publications and presents at NAFCU conferences
Prior to joining NAFCU, Jackson worked as a law clerk at the Social Security Administration. During law school, she was a student attorney with her school’s legal clinic, where she worked with financial industry regulations in order to represent investors. She also interned at USAA in the Chief Legal Office where she worked on a variety of projects involving consumer financial protections.
Jackson graduated from Howard University School of Law with a joint Juris Doctorate and Master’s of Business Administration. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
