Education Specialist

The National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) is seeking to hire an Education Specialist.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Education, is part of a 5-person team, and assists in the overall administration and development of compelling content for education programs, webinars, and online training for NAFCU’s credit union member.

Who we are:

NAFCU is helping credit unions unlock their potential by helping them grow through best-in-class advocacy, compliance assistance, and education.  Everything we do is designed to help credit unions increase their ability to serve America’s main streets – we believe credit unions are the best financial services option for the American consumer, and we want them to win.

Growing also is key where our employees are concerned.  Within our 70+ person staff, we look to support each other to be creative and curious.  Extreme member service is what we provide our credit unions, but it’s also what we provide one another so we can meet our individual and Association goals in the short- and long-term.  We want to work in the company of a diverse, inclusive group of people who treat their colleagues with respect and warmth.

Who you are:

You understand that education must be done in an entertaining way. You have a curious mind, always looking for what the best and brightest are thinking about and doing.  Once you learn something, you enjoy sharing that information with others. You communicate well with others and work well on teams.  You do your best, whether the job is big or small and know that it’s all important when working on a team.  You can present information, whether verbally or in writing, in a clear and concise fashion and zero-in on what's needed to respond to questions and concerns.  While you’re a high achiever, you always know that things can be improved.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the team to develop all phases of program development – including, conceptualizing program content, booking speakers, working with speakers on content and logistics, reviewing presentations, coordinating with Marketing, conducting on-site and/or virtual management, and post-conference follow through.
  • Ensure that the marketing message and all marketing collateral related to educational activities is accurate, complete, consistent, and compelling.
  • Maintain the speaker evaluation system to include analysis of responses for all NAFCU speakers at conferences and seminars.
  • Respond to member inquiries on educational resources, certification, and programs.
  • Provide support in the administration and delivery of webinars.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a strong team player and have the ability to operate effectively in an environment of multiple and shifting priorities, high urgency, and tight deadlines.
