As a Steelers fan, I am conflicted. The Superbowl is coming up, and I'm having a hard time picking a team to get behind.

On one hand, you have the Eagles. They are cross-state rivals. Their fans can be...passionate. Having gone to Penn State, I am friends with quite a few Eagles fans. Their Facebook feeds this week? Passionate.

On the other hand, you have the Cheetahs Patriots. They always win, which can be deflating. They always beat my Steelers. And Brady is about as close to perfect as you can get. He never ages, is devilishly handsome, and still out-plays quarterbacks roughly half his age. He's a cross between James Bond and Terry Bradshaw. Except that he wins even more than Bradshaw did. He managed to marry a supermodel who is a successful businesswoman. She's worth roughly $300 million. Of course, she is. She's a Patriot. The team takes scraps from other teams and shines them into gems. They work hard. They don't take days off. Their fans? I find them to be pleasant. They aren't obnoxious. They don't need to be. BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS WIN. AND THEY ALWAYS BEAT THE STEELERS. DID I MENTION THAT?  I HATE THEM WITH THE WHITE-HOT HATE RESERVED FOR PERFECT TEAMS THAT ALWAYS BEAT YOUR TEAM. AND HAVE CAPTAIN PERFECTION AS THEIR QUARTERBACK. AND THEY USED TO HAVE A SILLY-LOOKING LOGO. BUT THEY EVEN IMPROVED THAT, AND NOW HAVE PROBABLY THE BEST UNIFORM IN FOOTBALL.

Now that I think about it...I'm not that conflicted. With apologies to the best credit union attorney I know (Carrie Hunt)...Fly, Eagles, Fly!

Where was I? Oh, yes. Here are this week's reads. Enjoy.

  • Falling out. (Godin)
  • Jeff Bezos: Focus on what you think won't change in the next 10 years. (Inc.)
  • Homeownership increases as millennials start buying homes. (MarketWatch)
  • Ikea changed the way people think about furniture. (WaPost)
  • The halo effect, and other managerial delusions. (McKinsey)

  • Bill Belichick reveals his 5 rules of exceptional leadership. Of course, they are great rules. Of course. Grrr. (Winning)
