Lending — how to grow it, manage it and strengthen it — was the singular focus of NAFCU’s first-ever Lending Conference last fall. Held Nov. 6–9 at The Saint Anthony Hotel in San Antonio, the four-day conference provided credit union executives and staff involved in lending,marketing, business development and operations a look at the full range of issues and factors that affect the credit union lending operation.

Keynote speaker Steve Richman, national spokesperson and marketing manager with Genworth Mortgage Insurance, discussed trends in sales and how credit unions can leverage those in his address, “The Commodity Conundrum.” Cortney Angeley, impact director for Filene Research Institute, discussed the innovation side of problem-solving with members.
