Annual Conference 19 days away

July 3, 2014 – NAFCU's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Las Vegas is 19 days away, and registration is still open to members and nonmembers.

The conference is slated for July 22-26 at The Venetian Las Vegas Casino, Hotel & Resort. Educational sessions will focus on business and technology innovation; credit union trends; growing revenue; improving the bottom line; regulation and advocacy (including NCUA's proposed risk-based capital rule); and risk management.

Bill Keilholtz, the lending services director and chief lending officer at FedChoice Federal Credit Union, will present a session on member business lending and his credit union's success with its MBL program. Fannie Mae Senior Vice President and Chief Economist Doug Duncan will speak about national and global economic trends and their effect on the credit union industry in his session, titled "Private Forces Move to the Fore."

Also, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Vice President Nell Campbell-Drake and eZforex.com President and CEO Evan Shelan will present on trends and opportunities in international payments, and credit scoring expert John Ulzheimer will lead a session on credit scoring's impact on credit union members and lending.

Geoffrey Canada, an education advocate and key figure in the Sundance Festival award-winning documentary "Waiting for ‘Superman,'" is the keynote speaker. Also keynoting will be leadership innovators Dan Rockwell and Lee Wetherington. Other speakers include NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz and Director of the Office of Examination and Insurance Larry Fazio; NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger; and other top association staff.
