Ascensus Offers New HSA Certification Program
Ascensus creates an industry standard for HSA expertise with new designation
Dresher, PA—Ascensus, a leading health savings account (HSA) education and support services provider, is excited to announce that it will begin offering an HSA certification program in 2017 with an accredited HSA designation—Certified Health Savings Professional (CHSP). The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) has partnered with Ascensus on the certification program and CHSP designation, but both are open to all types of financial organizations. This program is integral to help the financial services industry participate in the exciting and growing HSA market.
The HSA certification program, which is a prerequisite for the CHSP designation, kicks off in February 2017 with Ascensus’ new HSA University—a five-week distance learning program offering live webinars with an Ascensus instructor and self-paced eLearning modules. At the end of the five-week training, attendees can sit for the CHSP exam. HSA University registration opens on November 1, 2016.
“Ascensus has been a leader in connecting with and serving consumers through innovative HSA products,” said Randy Salser, president of NAFCU Services Corporation. “Credit unions—and all types of financial institutions, really—have grown to know and trust Ascensus over their many years in this space. We couldn’t be prouder of our unique partnership and educational offerings.”
“As the number of new HSAs increases each year, so does the demand for an industry standard in HSA expertise,” stated Steve Christenson, executive vice president for Ascensus. “Partnering with a high-caliber organization like NAFCU helps us deliver the reputable certification program that financial organizations have been looking for.”
Ascensus is pleased to announce the 2017 HSA University dates.
