Attendees updated on key trends and industry issues at NAFCU’s Regulatory Compliance & BSA Seminar

ComplianceNAFCU wrapped up its annual Regulatory Compliance & BSA Seminar, in Louisville, Ky., last week, where attendees developed advanced compliance skills and learned how to stay on top of evolving regulatory trends and hot topics regarding credit union compliance and BSA.

Compliance professionals were able to renew their NAFCU Certified Bank Secrecy Officer (NCBSO) or NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) certifications with no exams necessary during the event.

Attendees heard from industry experts on a variety of topics, including NCUA and CFPB regulatory updates and were able to attend sessions on general compliance or BSA topics. Attendees also received updates on ACH processing, fair lending trends, and had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on effective compliance research skills. BSA attendees also learned what an effective BSA/AML compliance program includes as well as relevant program risks and assessments.
