CFPB, Fed to hold webcast on TILA-RESPA
June 12, 2014 – CFPB and the Federal Reserve will host a webcast on the CFPB's integrated mortgage disclosures under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Truth in Lending Act on June 17.
The webcast will provide an overview of the final rule on integrated disclosures and explain new required disclosures. The hosts will also address compliance questions on the rule. CFPB said the webcast would be the "first in a series" to look at the rule as it is implemented over the next year.
CFPB is soliciting questions and concerns regarding the implementation of the TILA-RESPA rule to address in future webcasts; those questions are due by July 1. NAFCU members are encouraged to submit questions and concerns to Regulatory Affairs Counsel Angela Meyster, who can be reached at ameyster@nafcu.org, for submission to CFPB.
Registration for the webcast, which will take place at 2 p.m. Eastern, is on the Fed's website.
NAFCU's regulatory compliance team has put together a compendium of resources on CFPB's mortgage rules, including the TILA-RESPA integrated mortgage disclosure rule, which is available on the association's website.
