Congress begins work on 2019 defense authorization bill; NAFCU monitoring
The House Armed Services Committee held a mark-up Wednesday on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2019. The bill, introduced by Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, authorizes $639.1 billion in defense funding.
NAFCU is actively monitoring ongoing discussions on the bill for provisions that could impact defense-related credit unions.
The Senate Armed Services Committee is holding a mark-up of its version of the NDAA bill the week of May 21.
