CUs learn about core processor issues at Tech-Sec

Feb. 13, 2014 - A full-day workshop on credit union core processor contracting, maintenance and managing conversions was presented to attendees Wednesday during NAFCU's Technology and Security Conference Las Vegas.

The workshop took conference attendees through the top 10 things core information technology service providers "don't want your credit union to know," peer experiences with core conversion and the processes for managing conversions of processors.

Workshop speakers included Valley FCU Chief Lending and Marketing Officer Darla Card; Samaha & AssociatesManaging Consultant Adam Denbo; FedChoice FCU Risk Manager Michael Martin; The Business Performance Innovation Network Executive Program Director Dave Murray; Samaha & AssociatesPresident and CEO Sabeh Samaha; and Paladin fs LLC President Aaron Silva.

During today's program:

  • NAFCU Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt will discuss regulations affecting technology in credit unions.
  • Vantiv Vice President of Corporate Marketing Lorena Harris will speak about how credit unions can earn new business and create loyalty by delivering value-added mobile payments solutions.
  • Tinker FCU Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Patrick Yager will lead a peer session on crisis management.
