More time to apply to CFPB councils

CFPB has extended its deadline to March 14 for those still interested in submitting applications for seats on its Credit Union Advisory Council and Community Bank Advisory Council.

Membership on the Credit Union Advisory Council, created to provide the credit union perspective on consumer financial protection issues, is limited to employees of credit unions that are no larger than $10 billion in assets and are not affiliated with any other depository institution exceeding that.

NAFCU members interested in applying should do so directly with the CFPB and contact PJ Hoffman, NAFCU's regulatory affairs counsel, by email to pjhoffman@nafcu.org.

Applications to the Consumer Advisory Board are still due Friday.
