NAFCU closed Monday for MLK Day
NAFCU's offices will be closed Monday in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day but credit unions can still access the association's website for resources and upcoming events. Here are a few items to be aware of:
Phase 4 reg relief breakdown
NAFCU recently released a new resource summarizing key relief provisions for credit unions enacted under the Phase 4 coronavirus relief and fiscal year 2021 federal government omnibus measure. In addition, the association has also updated its chart outlining the expiration dates of several pandemic-related relief measures, many of which have been extended into this year.
The relief and funding omnibus package included several NAFCU-sought provisions that will provide additional support for credit unions and their 123 million members, including extending troubled debt restructuring (TDR) flexibilities and access to the NCUA's Central Liquidity Facility, as well as making several improvements to the paycheck protection program (PPP) – which reopened earlier this week – and its forgiveness process.
ECU survey reminder
Responses to this month’s Economic & CU Monitor survey are due today and credit unions are encouraged to share their insights on the topics of overdraft and member access to financial data.
The NCUA Board in December approved the issuance of a proposed rule related to overdraft policy and earlier this year the CFPB issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) gathering input on how it should implement section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which provides for consumer rights to access financial records.
Read more about this month’s survey; the survey can be filled out online.
Last chance for conference and Online Training Center savings
Today is the last day to take advantage of savings on subscriptions to NAFCU's Online Training Center and registrations for most 2021 NAFCU conferences. Credit unions can use the code HOLIDAY to save $300 on NAFCU's online training subscriptions; credit unions can save up to $300 on registrations for almost all NAFCU conferences – $300 savings with promo code INPERSON and $100 savings on registrations for virtual conference options with code VIRTUAL. The codes can be used as many times and for as many people as needed.
Learn more about NAFCU's training subscriptions and view the full 2021 conference lineup.
NAFCU Today will resume publication Tuesday, Jan. 19. Visit the association’s coronavirus resource page and access all NAFCU's advocacy, compliance, and education resources online, anytime.
