NAFCU teams up with Habitat for Humanity to uplift NOVA community

Habitat for HumanityNAFCU staff Friday joined together with Habitat for Humanity (H4H) to work on several home build projects in the greater Northern Virginia (NOVA) region. The COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately put a pause on these activities, but NAFCU is proud to once again partner with H4H this year.

NAFCU has supported and worked alongside H4H different programs and charitable initiatives, previously supporting a credit union that worked with H4H to help build a home for a wounded veteran and his family.

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and President and CEO of the Defense Credit Union Council Tony Hernandez were on-site in Alexandria, Va., in 2018 during the build, raising awareness about the need for affordable housing.

NAFCU continues to work with Congress, the administration, and other government agencies to ensure credit unions can meet their members' home-ownership needs.
