NAFCU's Berger, Thaler recognized again as top lobbyists by The Hill
NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler were named top association lobbyists for 2018 by The Hill, a daily newspaper covering Congress and Washington, D.C. This is the 16th consecutive year that Berger has been named to the list and the 11th year for Thaler.
Berger said the accomplishment wouldn't be possible without the support of NAFCU's board, member credit unions and a dedicated staff.
"I'm proud to say that NAFCU, since its establishment more than 50 years ago, continues to stay true to its original mission of lobbying for a legislative and regulatory environment that helps credit unions grow," Berger said. "Our government affairs team works daily to maintain the strong relationships they have built with policymakers in Washington, and our credit union members ensure lawmakers and regulators understand the impacts their laws and rules have on their daily operations.
"It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts, and we will continue to strongly advocate the interests of all federal- and state-chartered federally insured credit unions as their Washington Watchdog."
