NCUA is hosting a free webinar, "Field of Membership Strategies for Federal Credit Unions," at 2 p.m. Eastern Feb. 19 for credit unions interested in expanding or taking advantage of their current fields of membership.

Hosting the webinar are Dominic Carullo, an economic development specialist with NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, and Ruth Siragusa and Jason Schultz, consumer access analysts with the Office of Consumer Protection.

Registration for the webinar is now open. The program will cover several topics, including:

• when FOM expansions make sense;
• advantages of each type of federal charter; and
• requirements for various expansion options.

NAFCU Director of Regulatory Affairs Mike Coleman will discuss similar topics during the association's Strategic Growth Conference during in his session, "Regulations Impacting Your Credit Union's Growth." The conference will be held March 4-6 in Venice Beach, Calif. Registration is open to members and nonmembers.
