Snow closes NAFCU offices, but work continues

March 3, 2014 – NAFCU's offices are closed today because of the snow storm traveling through the region, but many staff are working remotely and will be accessible by email.

The staff will be monitoring email and voicemail throughout the day, and members can continue to access the association's online resources, including publications, compliance resources, information on legislative issues and this year's calendar of educational conferences and webcasts.

The next webcast coming up is set for March 6 and is titled "Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) - Practical Ways to Implement at Your Credit Union." It will begin at 2 p.m. Eastern and will be led by Anthony Ferris, a managing partner at the Rochdale Group. Registration is open to all.

Since that law was passed, FinCEN has issued multiple rulemakings to enact the law’s requirements – including discussing which information must be reported to FinCEN and how credit unions and other financial institutions can access that information from FinCEN’s database.
