Today: NAFCU to update CUs on reg relief, RBC delay, ADA

member call

NAFCU member credit unions can still register for today's member-only call-in, which is slated for 4 p.m. Eastern. During the call, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and senior government affairs staff will provide updates on the association's advocacy efforts and push for more regulatory relief for the industry.

The "NAFCU Q2 Member Call" will brief members on the recently passed, NAFCU-backed Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155), which provides regulatory relief to the credit union industry. Credit unions tuning in will also be updated on the newest information regarding website accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the recent advancement – following NAFCU's efforts – of NCUA's risk-based capital rule delay in the House.

The team will also discuss the latest coming out of the CFPB, NCUA, Congress and more. Members will be able to ask questions during the call; questions can also be submitted in advance during the registration process.

Berger will be joined in the call by Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt, Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler, Director of Regulatory Affairs Alexander Monterrubio, Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Brandy Bruyere, Director of Political Affairs Chad Adams and Chief Economist and Vice President of Research Curt Long.

Today's call-in is provided free as a benefit of membership in NAFCU, but registration is required (members only).
