  • Learn the basics of cryptocurrency and exchanges and how these interact with credit unions. Discuss best practices for credit unions in dealing with cryptocurrency, including policies that should be in place and associated risks.

  • Receive an update on heightened cybersecurity risks, especially in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war. This session will also touch on guidance issued by various regulators, including NCUA.

  • Find out how to build a compliance risk management framework for third party relationships. Uncover due diligence considerations for working with vendors and what to include in a third party risk management program to account for fintech specific issues.

  • Receive the latest update on which pandemic-related rules have phased out, which stayed, and how this may impact credit unions and members.

  • Gain insights into existing FinCEN/OFAC/NCUA guidance on CVC/digital assets, BSA risks associated, and best practices for BSA compliance.

  • This session walks through how to respond to a 314(a) request from law enforcement, including which records to check, how far back to look, how to respond to law enforcement, and more. You'll also learn what a credit union can share under 314(b), how far back they should/must look, and best practices.

  • In this session, you'll walk through conducting a risk assessment: what to look at, how to assign a level of risk to certain items, what control measures to choose, and more.

  • How do different ad rules apply to social media? Learn about Google ads and when the one-click-away rule applies. Discover best practices for reviewing social media ads.

  • Receive an overview of TCPA status, litigation updates, and autodialer cases.

  • Obtain information on recent valuation guidance from regulators (CFPB, NCUA, etc.). Learn when AVMs can be used, the limits on using AVMs, and the pitfalls, including possible bias that could arise with using automated valuation.   • What do credit unions need to know to comply with sanctions? How can you find information on sanctions? How could you check whether a transaction/person is prohibited? Find answers to these and other important questions in addition to receiving significant OFAC updates.

  • This session will discuss how to use the member's risk profile to identify when a transaction may be suspicious, what questions to ask the member, and when the risk profile might need to be updated.

  • Ransomware is another hot topic and the risk for your credit union of falling victim to a ransomware attack is high. Discover compliance issues related to filing a SAR, FinCEN guidance about this, as well as OFAC implications.

  • Compliance Track
  • Hear about the recent interagency questions and answers regarding flood insurance with an emphasis on force placed insurance updates.

  • Learn how to create and maintain a culture of compliance in a hybrid work environment. Receive valuable tips on effectively communicating with your credit union's management and board.

  • This session will focus on recent UDAAP policy and enforcement developments under the new leadership of CFPB Director Rohit Chopra that credit unions should be aware of, including the Bureau’s controversial announcement in March 2022 that discrimination is now actionable under UDAAP for non-lending products and services.

  • General Session
  • Keep ahead of the recent litigation trends targeting the financial services industry, including overdraft protection, FCRA, and payments-related lawsuits. Discuss risk mitigation techniques, such as arbitration clauses and class action waivers.

  • Hear about recent trends in ADA litigation, how ADA applies to websites, ATMs and online/mobile banking, and emerging risk areas. In addition, this session will address recent DOJ guidance and how that impacts compliance.

  • This session will highlight the top examination issues NCUA has seen in the first half of the year.
