Reg Compliance Seminar Day 4: Reg updates, litigation, more

Credit union professionals at NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance Seminar will hear an overview of the latest federal regulatory news and a discussion of current litigation risks during the conference's final sessions today.

This week, NAFCU's regulatory affairs and regulatory compliance teams and other top-rated speakers have been guiding attendees through the latest regulatory compliance challenges at the conference, which runs parallel to NAFCU's BSA Seminar in New Orleans.

Afterwards, Kaufman & Canoles' Andy Keeney will give a presentation on litigation risks and how credit unions can prepare to avoid or anticipate potential litigation. He will also discuss the document production and legal discovery processes and legal strategies for defense.

NCUA Office of Examination and Insurance Deputy Director Tim Segerson will also discuss regulatory updates from his agency, including changes relating to NCUA's Exam Flexibility Initiative, interest rate risk examination, member business lending and the Military Lending Act.

Attendees will also hear from Kaufman & Canoles' Andy Keeney on litigation risks and how credit unions can prepare to avoid or anticipate potential litigation.
