NAFCU 2013 MLI opens today in Philadelphia
Oct. 7, 2013- Credit union leaders from around the country are in Philadelphia this week to learn how to develop and succeed in today's complex financial services environment during NAFCU's sold-out Management and Leadership Institute, which runs through Friday.
The MLI will address cutting-edge research on effective leadership skills, provide a solid understanding of financial management, offer creative tools to successfully build relationships with credit union board members and colleagues, and more. Students will also be encouraged to create their own personal leadership development plan.
"The fact that MLI is completely sold out demonstrates the value of the curriculum and speakers at this event each year," said Anthony Demangone, NAFCU executive vice president and COO, and MLI faculty member. "Clearly, MLI continues to be a can't-miss program for credit union leaders looking to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of credit union management."
Today's keynoter is John Spence, one of the most highly respected executive educators and professional speakers in the country. Spence has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior. Each attendee will receive a free, signed copy of his book, "Excellence by Design: the Six Key Characteristics of Outstanding Leaders."
The institute is being held at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The full schedule of events is online here. For up-to-the minute information, follow the #NAFCUInstitute hashtag on Twitter.
