FinCEN Issues Geographic Targeting Order

In October 2021, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued a Geographic Targeting Order that kept in place the same requirements from its April 2021 Geographic Targeting Order. The Geographic Targeting Order creates recordkeeping and reporting obligations that go beyond what is found in the regulations that implement the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
