Many thanks to Steve and Sarah for their posts this week. Â I've been attending NAFCU's Congressional Caucus. Â Here are a few Caucus-related tid-bits.
- Yesterday, FinCEN Director James Freis spoke.  Here is an overview of his comments from FinCEN.  He didn't hint at anything new, but did note that FinCEN is taking steps to extend its reach to more segments of the economy.
- Today, Elizabeth Warren will be speaking.  Yes, that Elizabeth Warren. I doubt that she'll get into many details, but I do look forward to hearing what she will say.Â
- NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz also spoke yesterday. Â She gave a bit of a sneak peak of some of the things we'll see in the corporate rule that is due to come out Friday. Â You can read about her comments here. Â And speaking of the corporate rule, NCUA has set up a virtual town hall meeting set for September 27th to go over the upcoming rule.
