Fair Lending; Three For Three

On Thursday and Friday, The Compliance Guy was in Dallas attending credit union meetings at the American Bar Association's Spring Business Law Meeting.   A number of the credit union general counsel in attendance indicated that NCUA recently performed a fair lending exam at their credit union.  Or would do so very soon.

After returning home on Sunday, I began digging through the 10,000 emails that graced my return.  One caught my attention.  It indicated that Chairman Barney Frank had asked GAO to perform a study on how federal regulators enforce fair lending regulations.  You can read his request here.

It seems NCUA and Chairman Frank have "fair lending" on their minds.  I thought I'd share a great resource.  Here's a link to the Interagency Fair Lending Examination Procedures.  Good stuff, people.  Good stuff.

While in Dallas, I went three-for-three.  I ate wonderful barbecue.  I ate wonderful Mexican food.  And I had a fantastic steak here.  If I had a crystal ball, I'm sure I could see what lies ahead.

Salads.  Lots and lots of salads.
