Why should compliance officers care? NCUA has indicated that credit unions should consider educational efforts regarding identity theft and fraud for their membership. (Letter to Credit Union 05-CU-18, Attachment). This list provides the top 20 areas where consumers have been burned. I think credit unions could build an educational program around that list.
