Newsworthy

Posted by Sarah Loats

To those of you who were at Seminar this past week - welcome back. Hope you don't have too many emails to read through this morning. Here are a few things that came out last week that may be of interest.

Interchange lawsuit. TCF National Bank has said it will challenge the constitutionality of the Durbin interchange amendement. You can read more about it in this NAFCU Today article.

BSA. Issue 18 of FinCEN's SAR Activity Review has been issued. It includes an interesting article that breaks down the types of question FinCEN's Regulatory Helpline receives.

ATMs and the ADA. For you NAFCU members, NAFCU's Final Regulation summary is now available.

GFE Exemption. HUD has issued a document detailing an exemption from the GFE and HUD-1 requirements for subordinate loans issued under housing assistance loan programs. This is a very limited exception, but if you start to hear rumors about an exemption, you can probably trace it back to this document.

NGNs. NCUA has announced that the NCUA Guaranteed Notes will carry a zero percent risk weight.

NCUA Board Meeting. The agenda for this week's board meeting is available. Of note, NCUA is scheduled to act on the final RegFlex/fixed assets rule.
