Red Flags; And the winner is.....
I've been getting a lot of calls about Red Flags lately. Folks want to know if there are any templates out there or any good guidance. Well, here're (is that a word?) my thoughts:
- Beware of templates for your Red Flags policy. This is a risk based policy that will be driven by your own experiences, products, services, members, policies and procedures.Â
- There is help on the way. We've heard that regulators (NCUA included) are working on a piece of supervisory guidance that will shed more light on agency expectations. It could be out in a month or so. But the regulators have more work to do on it before it can be unleashed.Â
I'll be sure to alert everyone when the guidance comes out.

We've come to a decision regarding the NAFCU Flower Garden Contest. We have a tie! Joleen of Forest Kraft FCU and Pat of Seattle take home the honors. Each will get some sort of tacky NAFCU-related prize. (I'll have to see what Marketing has in their closet!) Many thanks to everyone who took part!
