RESPA Proposal Released
On Friday, HUD released its RESPA proposal. Read HUD's press release here. The press provides a good, general overview of what HUD's trying to accomplish. One of the changes would be a new standardized Good Faith Estimate, which you can see here.

FYI: Comments are due May 13, 2008. NAFCU is working on a Regulatory Alert that will highlight the changes. And we would love to hear your comments. Also, we plan on devoting the NAFCU May 2008 Regulatory Newsletter article to the proposal.
