Remote deposit capture (RDC) options are appealing to many consumers given the added convenience for managing funds. As a result, many credit unions offer this option to their members via a mobile app. Over the past couple of years, NAFCU has received questions about RDC patents and potential litigation risk because of ongoing claims by USAA that other financial institutions may be infringing on the bank’s patent rights.
